www.gogglesandglasses.com  We started selling on eBay in January 2004. It was purely an accident, We were clearing some items out of our garage and didn't have time to setup a full blown yardsale. So, I decided to try selling some items on ebay and had great sucess. Like 10 million other sellers, we were looking for a product that we could sell on eBay.

Sometimes you find a product, sometimes it finds you.

Several months later a vendor at work gave me a set of Harley Davidson Limited Edition sunglasses as a gift. Of course, I quickly looked the price up on eBay and was astounded at how expensive they were! I went and asked the vendor if I could buy those glasses and what the prices were. I bought 10 of the glasses and promptly sold out! I then purchased and stocked the whole line.

Later, several of our customers asked us if we had glasses with foam padding, then the hunt for foam padded glasses was on. And then goggles, and then skydiving glasses, and you get the idea! The house and garage had filled up with our stock and eBay was taking up a majority of our time, not to mention that some months we were paying over $2,500.00 a month in eBay fees alone.

Of course, we had to pass those fees onto our customers. We started thinking that building a website for our products would be a better way to manage our time, lower our costs to our customers, and it would allow us to sell many brands that the manufactures did not allow to be sold on eBay,  plus we'd actually own some cyber real-estate.

Fast forward 18 months. Being late to the ecommerce game, all of the good names were taken, or so we thought! By chance we found gogglesandglasses, long but straight to the point and focused on the type of eyewear we specialized in. We happened to also run across an eyewear line called Birdz Eyewear.  The owner, Jason Olah, worked with us and we decided to invest in the Birdz line, which is the most complete line of high-speed eyewear I have seen to date. The line encompasses everything from rx-able goggles, watersports, cycling and even skydiving. The prices are very reasonable and the quality is amazing.
